TELL VOS: SUPPORT BREAST CANCER SCREENING BILL

Join us in advocating for a life-saving cause.

A mammogram does not always catch breast cancer. An ultrasound or MRI may be needed to catch cancer if a woman's mammogram is not sufficient.  Insurance companies do not have to pay for these necessary follow up tests, forcing women to either pay significant out of pocket for the test or forego the needed test entirely.

There is a bill in the WI state assembly - that passed overwhelmingly in the state senate - that would force insurance companies to pay for the follow up test.  Not surprisingly, the health insurance lobbyist is opposed to this bill.  Robin Vos is listening to the lobbyists.

Tell Robin Vos: Support Gail's Law!

The bill is called "Gail's Law" in honor of a woman who died of breast cancer, despite having "clean" mammograms.
